TWO SALES IN ONE NIGHT!
Welcome back to our 2012 online sales. We are bringing you yet another great set of cattle in these sales that we feel are the best of the best of what we have to offer. We are mixing things up just a little bit this year in terms of the way we are selling them. There will be TWO SALES held the evening of February 18th so make sure you take note of them both and how they will work. Please feel free to give us a call or stop in to view the cattle any time. As always, thanks to everyone for making our operation a huge success and look forward to another great year.
Sincerely,
Brian Martin
SALE 1: Dutch Style Online Sale
Saturday, February 18th, 6 pm CST
CLICK HERE TO VIEW AND BID
SALE FORMAT: In a Dutch auction, the item being sold is initially offered at a starting price. The price is lowered in increments until a bidder places a bid on the current price. That bidder wins that particular lot. The bidding is time stamped so the sale program recognizes the first bidder that places a bid and pays that price for the item. For example, the bidding may start at $30,000. The bidders will wait as the price is successively reduced to $34,000, $33,000, $32,000, $31,000 and $30,000. When the price reaches $30,000, Bidder A decides to accept that price and place a bid to own that lot, because he is the first bidder to do so, wins the auction and will pay $30,000 for the lot. In this sale, the price will go down $1,000 every minute starting at 6pm CST until all the lots are sold. Once a lot receives a bid the BUY NOW button will be gone from that particular lot (see below picture for example). The way you place a bid on a lot is the same way you do on any other Breeders World online sale.
